Disney News: Catalina Island Added To Disney Cruise’s Schedule
For anyone who loves to travel aboard the Disney Cruise Line, or anyone planning to set sail with them in the near future, there’s some incredible news to share. The Disney fleet of five cruise ships, including the new Disney Dream ship, as well as Disney Magic and Wonder, is adding a new stop to their schedule, Catalina Island. Now, Disney cruisers will be given the opportunity to visit this area (parking at the Port of Avalon), nine different times for the rest of the year. The announcement also notes that Disney Cruise Line ships are scheduled to visit the island 11 times in 2024.
Disney News: Catalina Island Welcomes Disney Cruise Line
The addition of Catalina Island comes approximately 12 months after Disney Cruise’s first stop at the Port of Avalon. During the announcement that took place the week of March 6th, a Catalina Island Tourism spokesperson notes that the Port of Avalon and Catalina Island have welcomed tourists with other cruise ships since the beginning of the ‘20s. The tourism authority adds that they look forward to adding Disney Cruise Line to the already impressive cruise lineups that dock in the port and welcome the Disney ships with open arms.
Disney News: Cruise Line Gives Travelers The Unique Experience Of This Island’s Entertainment & Dining
According to Catalina Tourism, those traveling with Disney Cruise Lines will now be able to enjoy several unique entertainment and dining experiences, including the awe-inspiring wilderness and nature that surrounds the region. Some amenities mentioned are the Casino Theater, Descanso Beach Club, as well as the legendary Green Pleasure Pier.
The Disney Magic ship will first visit the Port of Avalon on October 30th, returning on November 26th and 30th. Meanwhile, the Disney Wonder cruise will dock on the island three times in total this March.
