The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Lily’s Elopement Pitch Stuns Cane, Remarriage On The Way?

The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers hint that Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) may take matters into her own hands when it comes to her future with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn).

Could Lily end up eloping with Cane and locking in a remarriage with him?

Cane doesn’t want to pressure Lily or do anything that might rock the boat since his reunion is moving in the right direction.

It’s clear that Cane’s doing his best to be careful and let love bloom naturally between them once again.

However, it’s no secret that Cane views Lily as the love of his life. Lily is the only woman Cane wants, so he’d marry her again in a heartbeat and give her whatever kind of wedding she wanted.

Of course, Lily may never get Devon Winters (Bryton James) or even Nate Hastings’ (Sean Dominic) approval when it comes to her relationship with Cane. Nate and Devon are protective of Lily since Cane hurt her so deeply in the past.

Even so, Lily has a right to decide for herself whether she wants to remarry Cane and pledge to love him forever. The closer Cane and Lily get, the more likely it becomes that remarriage is indeed ahead of them.

Lily may not have high hopes for a pleasant wedding, particularly considering how irate Devon has been lately. Devon might cause a big scene at the ceremony if Cane and Lily had a proper one or refuse to attend at all.

It’s not like Cane and Lily would have a long list of people to invite anyway considering all the enemies he’s made in recent years. Cane has turned his life around, but that doesn’t erase the mistakes he’s made and any grudges that are still being held.

Plus, the show doesn’t seem interested in having Mattie Ashby (last played by Lexie Stevenson) or Charlie Ashby (last played by Noah Alexander Gerry) actually appear on-screen. Y&R could avoid recasting the twins if Lily and Cane choose to elope, so there are good reasons to take that route.

We could certainly imagine Lily pushing for an elopement at some point, so she might make Cane the happiest man alive and remarry him in a very intimate setting down the road.
