The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Nikki’s Loss Of Sight Shocks – Victor Faces Reality

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) didn’t know why she was experiencing increasingly debilitating head pain. Now she does, and the medical outlook is dire.

But this is daytime, and Thomas Scott is one of the two lead stars on this beloved show. So, the fans know that unless a major surprise is ahead or the actor plans to retire, Nikki will live.

However, Nikki’s diagnosis doesn’t include death. Instead, a mass is pressing on her optic nerve that could cause blindness if not treated. So, removal is projected.

Victor Newman Is A Curmudgeon

The Moustache or the Old Boy are some names that can be used for Victor Newman (Eric Braeden). Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) and many others could make some off-color comments that are suitable for digital printing but are applicable, if soapy truth be told.

While he didn’t know it, Victor kicked Nikki off the Ranch while she was ill. Of course, he comes to her rescue when learning about the mass that’s inside her skull, but that’s not the point.

Stress is known to trigger ill health. So, it can be rightly argued that this curmudgeon accelerated his wife’s malady. Jack is inclined to make that point.

Dr. Stephanie Simmons In Genoa City For A Reason

Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica A. Fox) hadn’t been seen in Genoa City, Wisconsin, since the good old 1990’s days. She became pregnant with one of Malcolm Winters’ (Shemar Moore) children, Holden Novak (Nathan Owens), but he only recently gained that life-changing knowledge.

The recent storyline involving Malcolm’s medical crisis allowed Fox’s character to be written back into the show. This plot vehicle was also being used to facilitate the good doctor’s return to town, where she’s since accepted the top position at Genoa City Memorial Hospital.

The above could mean that Stephanie saves Nikki’s sight. Doing so would be the type of plot vehicle that would elevate this character to prominence and probably ensure her continued presence in GC indefinitely.

Will Nikki Newman Forgive Her Husband Quickly?

Nikki holds Victor responsible for the family turmoil that has resulted because of his zest for power. She warned him not to get involved in the artificial intelligence pursuit, but he did, and that backfired badly.

Victor has since regained control of the family business. Encouragingly, Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) also appears to be making progress in his recovery after overdosing.

But the Newmans’ focus now shifts to Nikki’s health scare. Victor will come to her aid and certainly needs to ask for his wife’s forgiveness, which she’s given countless times before on Y&R.

The audience expects miracle therapy sessions or successful surgery to solve Nikki’s problem. But plenty of drama is also projected and desired before that positive outcome.
