The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Steffy Forrester Finnegan (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) has dealt with ongoing defections from Forrester Creations in recent months.
She and her co-Chief Executive Officer father are the arguable reasons for the tumult.
Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) is directly tied to Katie Logan Spencer’s (Heather Tom) exodus. But Steffy also helped facilitate that needless departure.
There was no reason for Forrester Creations to sideline its head of public relations after giving Katie and her family time to deal with Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) death.
Yet, Brooke and Steffy severely underestimated Katie’s value and also offered condescending assessments of her potential.
Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) was in the desert for years. Katie allowed him to wander in that emotional space because of his repeated betrayals.
She simply could not trust him, which dated back to the way he treated her during the years when she had trouble with sobriety.
That and her heart issues resulted in Katie becoming Will Spencer’s (now played by Crew Morrow) single parent.
Through much self-reflection and hard work, Bill proved himself to be a better man. Today’s Dollar Bill is someone whom Katie trusts, admires, and is emulating in a business sense.
His faith in her ability to lead a new fashion house, which she rightly dubbed Logan, has been proven to be fully on the mark.
But Bill and Katie know that they need to keep their foot on the pedal to make sure the buzz of Logan’s launch is sustained.
Steffy knows Hope Logan Spencer (Annika Noelle) well. Their years-long battle for Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) ended with Hope being his choice before Steffy met the next great love of her life, John Finn Finnegan (Tanner Novlan), who was assigned to her second serious motorcycle accident that required hospitalization.
Hope simply asked for a time frame. She wanted to know when her Hope for the Future line, which has been ready to present its newest collection for many months, would be greenlighted.
But Wood’s character, along with Ridge, decided to focus FC on Eric Forrester’s (John McCook) next collection. Couture can benefit from the intense publicity Eric created for Logan before Ridge offered a heartfelt apology and welcomed his dad home.
So, Steffy, like Ridge and Brooke, finds Hope’s announced leave of absence to be unusual.
Slapping Katie’s face left a mark on her face and, more importantly, on her soul. Tom’s character instantly became more determined than she’s ever been to prove a point to Brooke and teach her a hard lesson.
Brooke didn’t know that Katie and Hope reached a legal agreement for her to work at Logan before the fierce verbal fight happened in FC’s executive suite. But she’ll soon know.
FC hasn’t put Hope in time out, as it believed. No, she’s not going to allow the Forresters to control her career.
That page is taken from the same playbook that Katie is using and makes this next part of the storyline juicy and delicious, as any soapy summer fruit should be.
