The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers document that Brooke Logan Forrester (Katherine Kelly Lang) obviously isn’t self-aware. Her disrespectful behavior toward Katie Logan Spencer (Heather Tom) continues to be outrageous.
As viewers recall, Katie was treated badly by Ridge Forrester (Thorsten Kaye) during her waning days at Forrester Creations.
While his original intention was compassionate, based on the Spencer family dealing with the fallout of Luna Nozawa’s (Lisa Yamada) death, he and Brooke then treated Katie dismissively in the weeks that followed.
Katie couldn’t believe that the ten years she toiled as FC’s head of public relations weren’t recognized as valuable.
But Ridge’s decision to retain an outside firm to handle ongoing PR issues represented a hard slap across the face. That’s when Bill Spencer (Don Diamont) presented a surprising remarriage gift.
Bill Spencer Didn’t Capitalize On Strife
Along with their condescending attitude toward Katie, Ridge and Brooke decided that Bill was to blame for what they saw as a pure, personal attack. But his creation of a fashion house for Katie was not solely based on their perceptions.
Bill loves Katie and tried to reconcile with her for years. He recognized her talent and believed, long before Ridge and Brooke sidelined her, that she wasn’t appreciated at FC.
The plan to create what became Logan was brilliant. Bill had the financial wherewithal to launch a division of Spencer and did so.
Katie’s embrace of her renewed husband’s suggestion was based on affirming his confidence in her potential. In contrast, Brooke has Katie pigeonholed.
Who Is Brooke Logan Forrester?
Brooke’s long and storied history in this version of Los Angeles, California, is widely known. She’s the famous self-dubbed Logan. But where did that nickname come from?
Well, it came from Ridge’s mind and heart. His love and belief in his wife led to many doors being opened. To her credit, Brooke walked through them and made the most of many opportunities.
What Lang’s character doesn’t recognize is that Katie’s aspirations are no different than hers were through the years. Tom’s character is certainly right in believing that Brooke has repeatedly proven that she doesn’t believe Katie has unlimited potential. She truly sees her sister as the eternal little girl looking at her from the window.
Katie Logan Spencer Motivated To Succeed
Brooke and Ridge believe that Katie is responding to their actions. How narcissistic on both their parts.
Katie has believed in herself for a long time. That started when she broke her alcohol addiction years ago. She also got to a place where remarrying Bill was the right choice for her and their family.
The future of Logan might have its challenges. But those efforts won’t be based on whatever Brooke thinks or does. Katie’s life is separate because she’s an adult member of the Logan and Spencer families, a point that Brooke refuses to acknowledge.
