Often, Maurice shares about his family on social media. In particular, he enjoys posting up reels and pictures of his grandchildren, TT and Milo. Sometimes, he also shared news about his son Joshua, who used to play the role of Adam on GH. That’s because Joshua started a music career and his dad shouts out his songs.

On special occasions, you might see Maurice Benard post photos of himself with his wife Paula. Mostly, that comes on special events like their wedding anniversary. Funnily enough, the real-life Sonny Corinthos quite often shares photos of himself with his other daughter Cassidy. Every time he does that, he tells his General Hospital fans how much she hates being on social media. Clearly, she tolerates her dad, if that’s really true.

In 2025, GH fans heard about Cassidy’s engagement to Anthony Cammarata. And yes, the news arrived via Maurice Benard’s social media. Well, this week, he took the time to share about her again. Nearly exactly a year since the engagement, he announced that Cassidy celebrated a birthday on the weekend.

A Birthday Shoutout

In his Instagram caption, which accompanied a sweet photo of the duo, the ABC soap star wrote:

I’m at the zoo with my daughter Cassidy, the one that doesn’t like to be filmed. it’s her birthday and she wanted to look at animals with her daddy. If an angel fell from the sky her name would be @cassidybenard. I love you, baby i’m so lucky to have you in my life. I hope you have the greatest birthday in the world.

He also tagged Anthony.

How Old Is Cassidy?

If you don’t know, Cassidy is just turned 26 years old. Paula and Maurice Benard welcomed her on April 18 in 1999, and she’s their second child. Many people love her because she seems very sweet-natured, and she always smiles for her dad despite the stories about hating cameras.

If you are a longtime General Hospital viewer, you might recall that shortly before the birth of Cassidy, in the show, her dad, in his fictional role saved an undercover agent from being mugged.

You might recall that Hannah Scott (Lisa Vultaggio Jackson) worked for the FBI, and Sonny had a soft spot for her because she looked vaguely like his presumed-dead ex-fiancee, Brenda Barrett. Well, a romance developed but Carly Spencer got a bit heated and he later dropped Hannah.
