Of course, we are talking about Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) as many fans seem to be confused about the character for this one reason.

That’s because they can’t figure out if she’s supposed to be a woman, or a teen trying to figure out adult life, or someone who keeps acting like a young adult whenever things go bad for her.

Not only that, but many General Hospital fans have also pointed out that since Spencer has been gone, it almost seems as though the writers of General Hospital just can’t seem to find a place for Trina in this fictional town of Port Charles.

Not only that, but there’s also been chatter online about how the General Hospital writers have infantilized Trina. In other words, she acts more like a 13-year-old than someone with a college degree, if you know what we mean.

Clearly, GH fans sure did have a lot to say about the matter on social media.

Some even weighed in with, “Correct me if I’m wrong but shouldn’t she be about 22? She was in college way back when she and Spence had that date where they painted together.. Right?”

“Is this how we actually treat young adults… like they are 13, 14? I’m not joking I’m actually asking if as of 2026 this is accurate and 22 and 23-year-olds are childlike.”

Another critic of the soap wrote, “She COULD BE a good character, but instead she’s a whiny child who can’t see the forest for the trees.”

“The writing for her is failing the character. She is supposed to be around 22 or 23 now, but they are writing her like she’s the bratty preteen daughter trying to parent trap her parents back together.”

And then there was this comment as well: “The writing for her has been a joke. Since Spencer died there has been nothing but let down after let down. Even Gio is written as more mature then she is.”

“Honestly I find myself saying just send her and Kai off into the sunset together and be done with their characters altogether.”
