The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Cane Needs Phyllis – Billy Part Of A Trap

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) remains desperate. So, he’s cooked up a soapy plan to con Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and needs Phyllis Summers’ (Michelle Stafford) help.

Phyllis remains open to Cane because she wronged him. While guilt doesn’t drive her, it was a factor in allowing the former Aristotle Dumas to make his case.

The pitch to give Chancellor back to Victor would devastate Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson). It appears that Cane and Phyllis are underestimating how far Billy will go if he has his perceived business destiny snatched from him.

Daniel Romalotti Key To The Deal

Phyllis knows what family dysfunction feels like. She created it decades ago when lying to Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) about Daniel Romalotti (Michael Graziadei) being his son.

Eventually, Phyllis lost custody of her son. Christine Blair Romalotti (Lauralee Bell) won that victory in court and Stafford’s character has never gotten past that.

Daniel loves his mother but also knows that her penchant for chaos can override her good intentions and strenuous efforts to succeed. So, it’s reasonable to believe that Cane can get through to him and that Phyllis will follow through on her end of the bargain if that happens.

Cane Ashby Still Believes His Family Is In Danger

Phyllis has repeatedly told Cane that Victor would never kidnap Neil Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) daughter or his grandchildren. But that message hasn’t sunk in, which reinforces that Victor’s plan is working.

However, Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) will soon return to Genoa City, Wisconsin. That prediction is based on Khalil’s return to the set in recent weeks following the birth of her third child.

At some point, Cane will realize that Lily and the twins were never in danger and that she betrayed him by working with Victor.

But the question is whether Cane will realize that Phyllis was right before or after he’s able to give Chancellor to Victor. That’s an intriguing aspect of current developments because Victor’s leverage is contingent upon his maintaining this harsh ruse.

Billy Abbott Could Lose Everything

Billy might have restored his relationship with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). But any personal matter with Billy is always a matter of conjecture.

As is true with Cane, the timing of Billy realizing he’s being potentially betrayed by Phyllis will be crucial. If Billy realizes what’s happening and can somehow block it, he’ll be able to maintain momentum and possibly keep what Phyllis agreed to give him.

However, if Cane’s new deal with Phyllis is executed, then Billy will be out in the daytime cold. That will set him off, which will affect Sally’s renewed trust in his stability.

Although she’ll also be thrown out of the co-Chief Executive Officer spot at Spectra-Charles Media. So, maybe Sally fights for team Billy against Cane and Phyllis.
