The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Michael Reels as Lauren’s Outrage Stuns Him

The Young and The Restless: Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) finally admitted the truth. When pressed, during a reboot of their get-together at Society, he told his wife that yes, he was still connected to Victor Newman (Eric Braeden).

Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman) remains worried about her husband. That is her right, as she cares about his well-being more than anyone else in the world. Victor only cares about what Michael can do for him through a series of endless orders.

Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) let the beans spill by mentioning Michael’s recent involvement with Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn). It was that conversation at Crimson Lights that gave Lauren the information she didn’t want to hear.

Cane Ashby’s Threat Is Real And Imminent

The problem Michael faced wasn’t concocted. He is the only person in Genoa City, Wisconsin, who was perfectly positioned to fight Cane.

Cane recruited Michael for reasons that are still unexplained. No one can take what Aristotle Dumas, his former cover name, intends.

Viewers wonder rightly, as is true of Michael, Victor, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman), and others in GC, if Cane’s mind is fixed on a goal or if his feelings are fluid. Yet, without the family reconciliation he most wants with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil), it’s vital to remain on guard.

Lauren Fenmore’s Heart Is Right, But Her Calculation Is Off

Lauren’s love for Michael is unquestioned. Her instinct to look out for his best interest when he’s around Victor is always justified because the Moustache has routinely put him in harm’s way.

The Young and The Restless: Lauren Fenmore (Tracey Bregman)

Victor is not someone who cares about others, even a loyal soldier like Michael. Braeden’s character should be far more understanding, considering what Michael relayed to him, about being a father figure during the Ian Ward (Ray Wise) event at the Ranch in the recent past.

However, Cane’s unique threat could wipe out this fabled city’s legacy businesses and the families that are connected to them. While Lauren’s default stance is completely understandable, this particular storyline is different and requires renewed fortitude.

Plus, Fenmore’s could be a target Cane aims for.

Michael Baldwin Proves Hero After All

The skill set Michael brings to the soapy table is one that he’s uniquely developed across the decades. Victor recognizes that, which is why he’s allowed him to hang around and be involved with the plan Jack pitched.

Cane’s motive in inviting Michael and Lauren to the villa this summer is sketchy. It could be that Cane was just feeling Michael out and was trying to purely gauge his reaction to the scheme he only partially revealed.

How can Y&R have a revised character, like the one Flynn was hired to play, take control of Newman Enterprises, Jabot, possibly Winters, Incorporated, Fenmore’s, Crimson Lights, Society, Cassidy First, and who knows what else?

Somehow, some way, Cane will either realize a reversal of fortune, be neutralized, or defeated. Viewers expect the ever-great Le Blanc to continue to deliver knockout scenes, with Michael working this game until it ends with his friends, which even includes Victor, surviving or winning.
