True crime media coverage riveted and outraged folks for about three weeks since Jake Haro, baby Emmanuel’s dad, and his mom, Rebecca, claimed he was kidnapped in Yucaipa, CA. In a recent interview from behind bars, he claimed that he loves his son. Read on for more details.

The New Interview

On Tuesday this week, Court TV covered an interview that Jake Haro gave from behind bars. He and his wife were arrested and ended up charged with suspected murder. The reporter noted that contrary to what sources told News Nation, Jake is claiming he’s “innocent.”

Additionally, Jake told the Southern California News Group that if he saw Emmanuel again, he would say, “I love you, buddy.” Furthermore, he claimed to be totally “cooperative” with investigators.” However, authorities believe he’s lying.

Suspicious – Previous Child Abuse

The reporter on Court TV brought in a private investigator who talked about how Jake went out with the police to indicate where the body of the child might be. Like many true crime enthusiasts, he seemed to think that it was a waste of time.

Notably, he said that the area where the child might have been dumped has a lot of predators like “mountain lions.” So, little Emmanuel might never be found.

Authorities make no secret of the fact that they suspect Jake Haro because of his previous conviction for child abuse. The felony, which got him a slap on the wrist probation, came after he hurt his daughter so badly that she’s permanently disabled.

The district attorney felt that the sentence was “outrageous,” because if he’d been imprisoned, Emmanuel might not have died.

People React In The Comments

Jake Haro’s claim that he’s innocent and loves his son didn’t go down well with viewers who watched the report. In the comments section, one of them opined, “Just tell us where he is. We don’t need to hear anything except that!!”

Here are a few more reactions from the discussion area:

  • Refers to his missing infant son as “buddy”. He can’t acknowledge him as “son”? What a creepy monster with no heart to speak of.
  • This man is a complete monster. How he was even allowed around children after what he did to his daughter is beyond me. Shame on this system for knowing who and what this man was and not keeping him behind bars. Anyone who harms children should rot in jail.
  • If Haro stayed in prison like he was supposed to Emmanuel wouldn’t have been conceived.

What are your thoughts about the ongoing search for baby Emmanuel? Do you believe Jake when he claims he’s innocent and that he loves his son? Sound off in the comments below, and remember to come back here often for all your true crime news and updates.
