Collin Gosselin Shares Heartrending Reel On TikTok
Jon and Kate Plus 8 Alum Colin Gosselin poured out his heart over alleged mistreatment by his mom Kate Gosselin and various outlets interviewed him. But now that he’s active on social media, he’s not holding back on his regrets following allegations of horrendous treatment. On Friday, he shared a heartbreaking reel that hinted his family was destroyed by reality TV.
Sharing The Pain With Fans
The Dark Side of the 2000s showed Colin talking about how his mom sent him to an institution, but his latest activities on his new TikTok account seem to give him more space to express his emotional turmoil. When he shared his second post on the platform on Friday, TLC fans got a glimpse of the pain he still carries.
Collin Gosselin set two photos in his reel to Hometown Glory, a melancholic song by Adele. One of them showed all his siblings when they were just little kids on the TLC show. In his text overlay, he wrote, “Born to be a team, us against the world…”
Then, in his closing pic, he showed himself driving in his car. His message continued as he wrote, “Forced to do it alone, and wonder every day what our lives could’ve looked like…”
Finally, his caption reflected on the toll of reality TV, saying, “Forced apart, pitted against each other. All the fame and money in the world, but what about kids being kids?”
Fans React With Love
Many fans reached 0ut to former TLC star in the comments, and one of them told the young man who now has his own cleaning business, “Siblings should never feel like they have to choose sides of their parents. Parents should encourage sibling relationships. You were a child against an adult. You deserved a voice.”
Another follower asked if he still stays in touch with his sister Hannah. You might not know this, but of all the siblings, Hannah and Collin went to live with their dad, Jon. However, he doesn’t see the rest of them: Alexis, Aaden, Leah, and Joel. Collin does stay in touch with her, though.
In his reply, he wrote:
“I just saw her today! She was worried her car wouldn’t pass inspection so I was looking at it for her. She’s so funny and I love her sm. It makes my day whenever I see her, but we’re both so busy with work, school etc.”
Other fans reassured him he isn’t alone because they love and support him. Meanwhile, others wondered if he would now reach out to his siblings to reconcile.
The Sad Backstory
Over the years since his dad rescued him from the institution where he was locked away, Collin Gosselin has accused his mom of taking out her frustrations with her marriage on him. Fans can only assume it was because he looked so much like his father. He accused her of tying him to a bed with zip ties, among other horror stories.
Kate Gosselin has never been prosecuted and claims that he was an uncontrollable child with many mental issues. Meanwhile, Jon spent millions proving there was nothing wrong with his son and fighting for custody.
