The Young And The Restless Lauralee Bell Talks About New Primetime Soap

The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that Christine Blair is living her best life in Genoa City, reunited with the love of her life, Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian), and the two recently got engaged!

The character’s portrayer, Lauralee Bell, recently appeared on the new YouTube show, Soapy, hosted by The Bold and the Beautiful’s Rebecca Budig (Dr. Taylor Hayes) and Days of Our Lives star, Greg Rikaart (Leo Stark), to talk about the Y&R, as well as a new primetime soap.

Bell has been on the Y&R for over four decades, and her character has had quite the roller coaster ride! Of course, she’s a major fan favorite, and as viewers know,

Christine Blair has been affectionately known as ‘Cricket’ by loved ones and friends. With that said, Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford), Christine’s main rival, has also referred to her as The Bug, in an effort to spin on the ‘Cricket’ nickname.

During her July 29 appearance on Soapy, Lauralee reveals that there is a group of fans who refer to themselves as the “Bug Squad” and also talks about how much the Y&R audience and their support mean to her.

Lauralee also mentioned that she and bestie, Martha Byrne (ex-As the World Turns, Lily Walsh Snyder) have had a primetime soap project that they’ve tried to move forward for years now. Unfortunately, the COVID-19 pandemic and other circumstances have created roadblocks where this regard; however, according to

Lauralee, they are getting close to seeing this project finally come to fruition.

Lauralee’s appearance on Soapy marks the YouTube series’ fourth episode. The Y&R’s Eric Braeden (Victor Newman) was the show’s first guest when Soapy debuted on July 8, while Days of Our Lives icon Deidre Hall (Marlena Evans) appeared on the second episode, and Sheila Ducksworth, executive producer of the newest CBS soap, Beyond the Gates, was on during the July 22nd show.
