Newborn Baby Saved After Concerned Neighbors Call Cops

A newborn was very nearly dead, but thanks to concerned neighbors who called in the cops for a welfare check, the infant was saved. Nosy neighbors can be annoying, but this time it turned out to be a miracle for the child of a dead mom.
The Baby Was Alone
The Sun US reported on the nearly tragic end of a little child. It was a tragedy in a way because the child’s mother had passed away inside the home. The call to the police came from neighbors who hadn’t seen her around for a while.

The poor woman who died lived in Phoenix, Arizona. The footage taken on bodycam revealed that the police entered the house when they “received no response” by calling from outside. When they got inside, they went into a room and found “A tiny baby wrapped in blankets…lying in the bed alongside its mother’s body.”
Starving And Near Death
Gently, the newborn was transferred to a stroller before EMTs worked on the child. The baby needed some “life-saving care” as it was extremely weakened and “emaciated.” The near double-tragedy was averted and the baby is reportedly going to survive.
The outlet cited a police department rep as saying, “It wasn’t learned until well after the fact from doctors and staff at the hospital that if the police officers didn’t immediately provide aid and didn’t immediately go into the apartment, the child may not have survived much longer.”
Reactions By The Public
When ABC 15 Arizona shared the news on YouTube they revealed that the mom who died was named Jade Hardin, 31, and the baby’s name is Harmony. Her family who live in “Ohio,” said that she was “very private.” Her privacy, though, nearly killed her baby as well.
Many people reacted to the neighbor and the police who had saved the baby’s life. One of them wrote, “God bless that neighbor, the officers, the fire department who took the baby to the hospital, the hospital staff who saved her and May God continue to bless baby Harmony.”
Here are a few more reactions to the news about the newborn baby:
- Every new mother should have a daily check for three months after leaving hospital. I wish the hospital would ask new moms for three contact resources to be listed on record for this exact reason. It still happens today—women die after giving birth. A daily phone call would save lives.
- This is sad it shouldn’t take a neighbors not seeing someone for 5 days before police are called.
- Great job PD and blessings to you, your family and family of Jade and her baby.
