Dog Groomer Abuse Goes Viral But There’s A Twist?
A dog groomer in North Carolina lit up the internet for all the wrong reasons this weekend. Horrified viewers turned out in their thousands to have their say about camera footage that ended the career of a woman. While it went viral, there are other side notes of interest.
The Footage Was Filmed By An Employee
The unfortunate story involved three different aspects. Firstly, Hollywood Unlocked broke the news about a woman named Kirsten Rhea Taylor who was arrested late last week. Police in Mooresville confirmed it after “disturbing footage surfaced showing her physically abusing several dogs while working at a business called Classy Critters.” It was taken by a concerned employee.
The second issue is that although the incident happened in North Carolina, another business with a similar name, Classy Critters Grooming & Boarding in Rome, Georgia, is being misidentified as the place where the abuse went down.
And the third issue is that the alleged sister of the employee who filmed it claimed that the owner, named Pam, knew about it but took time to take action against Taylor. It’s a nasty story, and plenty of dog lovers are outraged.
Charged With Multiple Felonies
Taylor, the outlet noted, faces charges of “four felony counts of animal cruelty. She was booked and held on a $10,000 bail.” That came after the footage, which we are not going to show here, revealed her punching dogs that had been entrusted to her care.
Later, the outlet cited Pam, the owner, who made a statement on Facebook, saying, “the actions of one bad egg does not reflect on Classy Critters and the entire staff.” According to her, she has “zero tolerance for any type of abuse with the animals in my care.” Well, the sister of the employee who filmed the incident has a different take on it.
The Sister Of The Whistle Blower
Someone named Summer Hilton claimed on Facebook that her sister reported the abuse multiple times, but nothing was done. She alleged, “my sister decided to record this, and show Pam for proof… Pam said she would ‘talk’ to the Abuser…” However, the sister was later fired. “My sister was understandably confused why an abuser can still work there, free of punishment but she can’t have a family emergency? So my sister did the best next thing she could think of and take the video to her social media to bring awareness to the mistreatment of animals.”
Outrage followed both the report by Hollywood Unlocked and by Pam Hilton. The allegations that Hilton made seemed extreme. There were also some videos and photos there that Hilton claims came directly from her sister.

The sister shared her version of events came before the arrest of the abusive dog groomer. When Hollywood Unlocked shared the news on Instagram, many more comments arrived. Nearly 5,000 people had their say. Here are some of those:

The Wrong Grooming Parlor
As for the similarly named dog groomer parlor in Georgia, the confusion between the two facilities can potentially destroy innocent people. So, please do not attack them. The owner posted on Facebook saying:
Random people are now leaving horrible google reviews for our business in Rome, GEORGIA.Y’all, we do not abuse animals. Please understand that we are not affiliated with Classy Critters Pet Spa & Resort LLC in North Carolina. I’m begging, please pay attention to the pages you are on before you leave reviews. This is out of hand.
The abusive dog groomer will face justice, but there are some questions due to the allegations made by the sister of the employee who filmed the abuse. It will be interesting to see what comes out in the court case, and whether Pam will let the public post about her allegedly not confronting the dog groomer abuser, slide.
