And that’s not just because he’s too good for her, but also because he’s become the one man in this fictional town who has become the voice of reason. He’s caring but at the same time, he’s also not willing to put up with her shenanigans, either.
Simply put, Deacon Sharpe has become my favorite character in B&B. He reacts like a normal person: he was upset with Sheila for keeping things from him and for spending time with Luna. But he allowed Sheila to talk it out with him, and he forgave her.
Of course, the internet certainly did have a lot to say about the matter.
Some have even commented with, “I never would’ve thought Deacon and Sheila would become my favorite couple but darned if those two actors don’t pull off making them cute together.”
“The contrast between Deacon and Ridge is glaring! Deacon allowed Sheila to explain while Ridge ran to screw Taylor without giving Brooke a chance to say boo.”
Another fan of the show wrote, “I really enjoy Sheila and Deacon. Their characters have grown, developed and matured …. Together! What a refreshing take that two past baby bad guys have succeeded in business, love each other wildly, and have matured to find their moral compasses.”

And then there was this comment as well: “I hope the writers never break the two up. There has always been a matriarch and patriarch for the show.”
“The last time Brook and Ridge broke up, Bell seemed to imply that there would be permanence for that relationship, so they would have become that. Now there’s no anchor couple. It’s all randomness and lazy novella-type writing. At least Deacon and Sheila provide some grounding.”
It goes without saying that B&B fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next.
