The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Fans Reject Alan’s Story – Traci Doesn’t Deserve This

The Young and The Restless: Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins)

The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland) is growing rightfully nervous.

The man introduced by her sister, Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson), is living a secret life. That reveal is not something devoted fans like because it means that a good soul like Traci is part of a downer storyline instead of an uplifting tale.

As the fans know, Alan Laurent (Christopher Cousins) was recently revealed as the man who kidnapped Sharon Newman (Sharon Case) and Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford).

The soapy walls are starting to close in on Alan because of something Traci’s nephew said.

Intentional plot timing allowed Kyle Abbott (Michael Mealor) to walk into the soothing setting of the Genoa City Athletic Club. He did so just as his parents and aunt were sharing a meal.

Kyle Abbott Got The Scoop From Summer Newman

Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) has been increasingly interacting with Kyle recently. She’s done so because of her hopes to revive love with the man she was twice married to. But that’s another story.

Kyle learned about Phyllis and Sharon’s plight. Then, he carried those details to the Abbott family get-together at the GCAC so the plot could be pushed, and it was.

Traci told her family about the security breach alerts at the facility on Alan’s phone. That was important because Kyle heard Phyllis and Sharon had just been rescued from an abandoned psychiatric facility.

Traci Abbott’s Strange Text Update

There was no reason for Alan to return to Paris, France, alone so soon after he and Traci agreed to get engaged.

But that’s what he told her through a text update rather than in person or a phone call. The nuptials are planned shortly because Traci asked Jack if she could take the Jabot jet so she and Alan could get married in Paris.

Ashley returned to her business in Paris recently. So, it’s fair to wonder if Alan will make contact with her or if they’ll run into each other.

But it’s also reasonable to believe that he’s returning to his home to clean up whatever revealing evidence exists in his house.

Alan would want to do that before presumably taking Traci there during the combined marriage and honeymoon trip.

Martin Laurent’s Existence Matters To A Degree

Does it matter if Martin Laurent (Cousins in a dual role) has been posing as his brother Alan?

To a degree, it does, but let’s explore some options, starting with Alan being killed when he and Martin fell out the window in Paris last year. In this scenario, Traci has been living with an impostor.

However, assume that Martin died in that fall, as is believed. That would mean Alan is as deranged as his off-kilter brother was. Traci wouldn’t have fallen in love with an impostor but would have been fooled.

Both sequences produce similarly bad outcomes, leaving Traci single and shattered. So, why would either storyline have been necessary?

Tracy doesn’t deserve this. Somehow you need to turn this around if you can bring back the dead you can fix this.
