Annika Noelle, who portrays Hope, recently shared insights into her character’s tumultuous journey and speculated on what lies ahead for the duo.

Since joining The Bold and the Beautiful in 2018, taking over the role from Kim Matula, Noelle has captivated audiences with her performance.

Before her time on the soap, she graced the screen in Venice: The Series, a production inspired by the iconic daytime drama, Guiding Light. Once she took over the role that Kim Matula vacated, she’s played Hope ever since.

Annika Spoke To SOD About The Continuing Storyline

Fans of the soap have seen a love story blossom between Hope and Carter Walton; however, recent events might put an end to the romance. Recently, Hope saw Carter kiss Daphne Rose (Murielle Hilaire), and in addition, Carter didn’t share the full truth with her, either; Noelle recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest about the ongoing storyline. Starting things off, Noelle was asked what she thought Hope’s first reaction to the kiss was like.

The actress shared, “Well, when Hope told Carter to get Daphne Rose to be a part of the fragrance launch by any means necessary, I don’t think she had this in mind. In a way, I feel like given how many times men in her life have let her down, it’s not exactly surprising, but it’s still disappointing.

Hope Didn’t Confront Carter At First

Noelle continued, “and it certainly wasn’t what she expected to see when she opened the office door!” Hope did not confront Carter right away about the incident. “She didn’t come in aggressive; she wanted to see if he would take responsibility, to find out what he would admit before she went in strong, telling him what she witnessed.” “She was allowing him the chance to do the right thing.

However, it felt somewhat like she was trapping him, trying to get him to confess. Although he might have acknowledged the kiss, was that really everything?”

Things Are Very Complicated For Carter At The Moment

Noelle mentioned that Carter’s situation is likely complicated; she said, “I’m not sure how clear Carter is about his feelings, which makes it tough.

He seems really torn about his emotions-he was probably stuck between wanting to share too much or too little with Hope at that moment.” However, Noelle felt this doesn’t help Hope at all. She added, “It definitely shakes Hope’s trust and confidence in their partnership, both in love and work. She truly thought he would support her, but now his actions seem to say more than his words, unfortunately.”

Hope Is Suspicious Of Steffy

Hope may not see the whole picture, but viewers understand that Steffy Forrester (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) is the one pulling the strings. Noelle believes Hope isn’t entirely unaware of Steffy’s actions-the actress mentioned, “Hope senses that Steffy is up to something, but I’m not sure she has fully figured it out yet. There’s a lot that Hope seems to ignore, she appears to be lost in her own little world.

I wouldn’t say she’s trying to take control, but she seems disconnected from what others are experiencing and feeling right now.” “Hope definitely doesn’t trust her and knows she’s scheming; I just think she hasn’t made the full connection yet-this might be because she’s struggling to hold on to her own illusions.”

What’s Next For Hope And Carter?

When it comes to the future of Hope and Carter, Noelle shared her thoughts.  She said, “I feel like Hope is really hitting a low point, and bouncing back from that is going to be challenging.

Viewers will have to watch to find out if they make it through this. However, Carter is definitely in for quite a struggle.” She added, “They can either use this experience to grow from it or choose to part ways-it will be interesting to see how that situation unfolds.”
