The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Ian’s Awakening Is Suspect – Sharon Moves Ahead
The Young and the Restless spoilers document that Ian Ward (Ray Wise) exhaled, dropped his head to the side, and appeared to die. The camera’s perspective gave the audience a sole perspective on that moment, seemingly underscoring the end of Ian’s time of torture.
Along with the above, Wise was given a sendoff while his dead body was being wheeled out of the new main house on the Newman Ranch. Spotlight retrospectives from many years ago were played, with Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) featured.
Those ladies, along with his most recent victim, Sharon Newman (Sharon Case), said their peace to Ian before he was taken away. That felt like the last time viewers would see Ward, except for a morgue scene sendoff. But no.
Victor Newman Won Big
As Michael Baldwin (Christian Le Blanc) rightly told Adam Newman (Mark Grossman), Victor is the man. He positioned himself in the line of Ian’s fire and took a bullet.
But the arguably most significant person to ever live in Genoa City, Wisconsin, lived. As the medical personnel described it, the piece of lead that left Ian’s chamber and was fired at close range went through Victor Newman’s (Eric Braeden) body.
He might suggest that his dear friend, the late Katherine Chancellor (Jeanne Cooper), holds that distinction.
Ian was not as fortunate when the second shot was fired into his body and didn’t come out. The gushing of blood and his apparent deceased state gave Victor a clear victory in that violent fight.
Jordan Howard’s Death Seems Final
Jordan Howard (Colleen Zenk) died in the presence of numerous Newmans. She downed the poisoned tea Claire Newman (Hayley Erin) made but warned her from drinking before being joined by two sets of family members at later points.
While Claire claims to have no feelings for her late great-aunt, one has to wonder if that’s entirely true. Surely, Claire didn’t trust Jordan and accurately blamed her for all that’s happened since she was stolen at birth from Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck).
But Jordan lay dead at the Tack House and was taken away. No scenes were shown of her reviving. She’s dead unless a new scene is shown countering this natural assumption.
Sharon Newman Believes Ian Ward Threat Is Over
Nikki was the first character viewers were told Ian was wronged. She believed he was her first child’s, Dylan McAvoy’s (Steve Burton), father for a short period.
Mariah considered Ian her hero when she was raised in his cult. He bought her after she was stolen at birth from Sharon and Mariah’s real father, Frank Barritt (Phil Dozois).
Devoted viewers recall that Cameron Kirsten (Linden Ashby) set Sharon up for Frank’s murder. That made Ian’s attempt to set her up for Heather Stevens’ (Vail Bloom) murder a fitting revisit of that past storyline.
However, the image of Cameron that Sharon recently saw was a projection of her mind. Here’s hoping that Case’s character never thinks she sees Ian’s specter because it will be the real villain. After all, he’s not dead.
