‘American Idol’ Laine Hardy & Jordan Welcome First Baby

Laine Hardy, the former American Idol winner announced in September last year, that he and his girlfriend, Jordan Gautreau expected their first baby. On February 24, 2025, he welcomed his new child, announcing it on social media. “An absolute gift from God. Let the adventure begin,” he wrote. It sounds as if this baby will live the best life with his brand-new parents.

Laine’s A Dad At 24 Years Old

When Jordan and Laine’s baby news first arrived, the American Idol singer had just turned 24 years old. At the same time, he told his fans that he and Jordan became engaged. As he’s still popular, despite a run-in with the law, plenty of his fans loved the news.

Jordan Gautreau and Laine Hardy shared their first photo of her baby bump at Christmas time. However, the young couple didn’t let their followers know the due date. Well, the baby has arrived, and he told his followers on Instagram the name of their “little boy.” The caption noted, “Welcome to the world Hollis James Hardy!”

Music Fans React To The Brand-New Baby

Congratulations flooded in after Laine said, “We are over the moon.” So, it sounds as if many people are happy as well. Here are some of their reactions:

No doubt, young Hollis will grow up enjoying the fishing in Louisana where his dad grew up. Maybe in years to come, American Idol fans will see Laine Hardy teaching his son to play the guitar. 

The Music Career

After he won the talent show, it took time for Hardy to produce original music. However, when he did, songs like “Memorize You” did well. Released in May 2021, he later dropped “Authentic” as part of his album, “Here’s To Anyone.”

Unfortunately, Laine’s career stalled after accusations of planting a listening device in a former girlfriend’s room. Pleading guilty, he attended a special program to keep the conviction off his record. 

Music Picks Up Again

Since the criminal saga, Laine Hardy started recording more music. And, he dropped a new song titled, “That Man,” in September 2024. Next, “HARDY (Live From Red Rocks)”, released on February 7, 2025, showcased 20 tracks. They were captured live during his performance at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Colorado in October 2024.
