Catelynn Lowell Won’t Keep Quiet About Carly

Teen Mom star Catelynn Lowell was on the MTV show for years, and fans watched her and Tyler Baltierra agonize over giving up their baby, Carly for adoption. At the time, Brandon and Teresa Davis assured them that they would have an open adoption. But, that changed in recent years. Now, Catelynn won’t stay quiet about it.  Read on to find out what she’s saying in 2025.

In 2005, the young couple were in school, and as such young kids, they faced a hard decision with baby Carly. After her birth, the MTV stars married, but first, they wanted to complete their education. Catelynn also wanted more children. At the time, Teen Mom fans admired their efforts as a couple. 

Catelynn Lowell and Tyler Baltierra did have more kids, Novalee Reign, 10, Vaeda Luma, 6, and Rya Rose, 4. The Teen Mom stars seem to be good parents to their daughters. But on her 15th birthday, the couple couldn’t see Carly. Since then, the situation with Teresa and Brandon Davis deteriorated. 

Catelynn Lowell Won’t Stay Quiet After Being Blocked 

Some MTV fans think that Teresa and Brandon Davis blocked the couple from seeing their daughter, Carly because they started an OnlyFans. It’s not clear if that is the case. But, E! News reminded readers that the Teen Mom couple were blocked by them “four months ago.”

On the weekend, Catelynn Lowell opened up to the outlet and said:

If it’s just her parents acting out of fear, it’s my duty as a birth mom to show this child that I’m continuously fighting for communication, because that’s what’s ultimately the best for her, if that’s what she wants…

Catelynn Lowell also said, “…a lot of the hard things are coming up for us, especially as Carly gets older, and it’s okay to feel the hard stuff and process through it, and it needs to be talked about.”

Additionally, The Teen Mom: The Next Chapter star feels irritated because Teresa and Brandon allegedly won’t even allow her or Tyler Baltierra to send gifts to her daughter. 

On Reddit, an OP said:

Daughter Carly’s Adoptive Parents…“They definitely have 100 percent closed the adoption.” Catelynn shared in an exclusive interview with E! News. ‘I’m still blocked and they recently told me to quit sending gifts because it was inappropriate and uncalled for, just a whole bunch of things.” GOOD FOR THEM.
