Courtney Waldrop Updates On Heartbreaking Loss Of Dad, Popsie

Sweet Home Sextuplets alum Courtney Waldrop has updated her TLC fans a week after her dad, Gerry, AKA Popsie passed away. Her long, heartbreaking caption got some of her supporters crying. It was a sad but also uplifting post.

Courtney Waldrop Asked For Prayers 

In the last week of November, the former TLC star took to her social media and called on her Sweet Home Sextuplets fans to pray for her dad. He’d been in a hospital after a diagnosis of Cystic Fibrosis. So, she said that he would be transferred to another facility where he could get a double lung transplant done. 

Unfortunately, a few days later, Courtney Waldrop reported back to her followers. The sweet old man who the sextuplets and their older brothers adored had passed away suddenly. In fact, the staff were prepping him for his transfer when his life ended. Plenty of TLC fans felt sad because they saw how sweet he was with his grandchildren, and with his wife. 

Courtney Waldrop Updates On The Funeral 

Before Popsie passed away, all the children had visited him in the hospital. This weekend, they went to the funeral and again the children were there. Sweet Home Sextuplets fans know the little ones probably have some difficulty dealing with death. But, the twins, Wales and Bridge, and their older brother Saylor probably grasp it a bit better.

Courtney Waldrop said in her long caption on Instagram, “Before we left our house yesterday morning to go to the church each child signed a picture of themselves to lay with their Popsie before we went to the gravesite. That was a very sweet moment.”

TLC Fans React To Heartbreaking Post

Courtney Waldrop also told her followers how much Popsie had appreciated the prayers and well-wishes from TLC fans. Naturally, her mom is not coping well. She added:

I’ll never be able to explain how much we miss him. Our hearts ache, the children are broken, and my mom is lost. Here on this earth we will never understand why he had to leave this life so quickly when there is still so much we need him here for. But God was ready for him and we have to accept that…

The heartbreaking message made fans of Courtney Waldrop’s fans feel very sad. The emotional update found a lot of replies. Here are some of those:
