Violet Finn’s (Jophielle Love) recent departure to live with her father on the West Coast has left a void in the Q mansion that everyone can feel — most especially her aunt-turned-surrogate-mom Brook Lynn.

But Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) death is going to hit home for Brook Lynn as she comes to terms with the reality of two children losing their mother.

Layer on Sasha Gilmore Corbin’s (Sofia Mattsson) betrayal by her own mother, Holly Sutton (Ema Samms), and it’s easy to see why the weight of motherhood may be on Brook Lynn’s shoulders. The more that Brook Lynn thinks about becoming a mother, the more she may be thinking about the fact that she already is one. Moreover, she’s been keeping a secret from most everyone who loves her about it.

It’s been hinted that Brook Lynn may have had a child years ago who she gave up for adoption. It’s been further implied that said child may have been born to both her and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Just what he needs his partner on the force to find out about right now, right?

Finding out that Brook Lynn already had a child years ago is going to come as quite a shock to her husband, but if we know Chase, he’s going to be supportive in the end and do whatever Brook Lynn needs to feel supported moving forward.

He wants a family with her, and if the child she already had is standing in the way of that, he’ll want to clear the air as soon as possible, too.

Will Brook Lynn follow her dad’s lead and hire private investigator Elaine (Judy Cain) to track down her child, and if so, will that only lead to more surprises?

If Brook Lynn wants to find the child she gave up for adoption to make sure they’re okay, that’s the least that Chase will probably feel he can indulge her with.

At the same time, they’ll have no guarantees about how that will work out. The child could be angry with her and she would have to contend with that.

But nothing will compare to finding out that the child she gave up has been closer than she knew all along — and that her mother, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer), and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) knew about it the whole time.
