Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Abigail DiMera (last played by Marci Miller) could be on the cusp of a return.
Sure, fans have seen her ghost visit Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn), and her death was very permanent, but in the land of soaps, anyone can return to the land of the living.
If Days writers can get creative enough, as they did when Will Horton (Chandler Massey) and Bo Bo Brady (Peter Reckell) returned from the dead, then a storyline could easily be crafted explain how Abigail never “died”.
Still, will she return with her memories intact? Could she come back with love loss for Chad, but feelings for an ex?
Days Spoilers: Could Abigail DiMera Be Recast?
DOOL spoilers hint that all arrows are pointing toward an Abigail return. Chad can’t seem to get over the passing of his wife, and with her journal popping up and her death set to be linked to Li Shin’s (Remington Hoffman) murder, a major plot twist is on the horizon where Ms. DiMera could turn up alive.
Actress AnnaLynne McCord is set to enter the land of Salem at some point soon. Deadline announced that McCord would be playing the character of Marin, a “fascinating and complicated woman who is devastatingly beautiful, almost angelic in her outward appearance. The desire of many but her heart belongs to only one man who continues to push her away for her own good.”
While McMord’s character does have a name, this doesn’t mean she won’t be playing Abigail as her storyline progresses.
Perhaps, Clyde faked her death, performed plastic surgery on her to change her face, removed some of her memories, and had her brainwashed into believing she’s “Marin” when she’s really Abigail?
DOOL Spoilers: The EJ DiMera Factor
Abigail was once involved in an affair with EJ DiMera (Dan Feuerriegel). If Marin is Abigail, she could return and instead of looking forward to reuniting with Chad, she may be obsessed with his brother EJ.
This could explain Maron’s description as wanting a man that “pushes her away”. After all, EJ would not want to betray his brother by jumping into a romance with Abigail. He knows how much Chad mourned over the passing of his wife.
This would offer an interesting twist on so many levels. After all, EJ and Chad are very close right now, and the Baby Jude (Oliver McLarty) secret could blow up in and around the time Abigail returns.
Nicole DiMera (Arianne Zucker) is set to leave Salem soon, which means EJ will be a single man. Even if Nicole is recast, his relationship with her would be over, thanks to his role in covering up the truth about Jude.
Whether Maron ends up being Abigail or Chad’s wife returns and Maron is a separate character, there’s a good chance that Abigail will be out of sorts when she comes back, which will only add to the drama of it all. Could she remember her romance with EJ and not Chad?
