The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) and Devon Hamilton Winters (Bryton James) will be thrown a shocking curveball by Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).
Billy had told Devon and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) that Jill wanted to change the company name Chancellor-Winters to include her name, Abbott-Chancellor-Winters or something similar-they didn’t believe Billy.

Nate and Devon had discussed what Billy told them about changing the company name, maybe calling it ACW for short after he left.
He’d rushed into the office with this exciting proposal for them and told them about the proposed name change. Billy wanted Nate to step out so he and Devon could discuss it privately but Devon insisted he stay, and told them this could change the face of the company.
Devon didn’t understand where any of this was coming from since Jill had never brought it up to him-it wasn’t an issue until Billy got there. He grumbled about logo changes but Billy said they have a department for that.
Y & R Spoilers: Billy Abbott Just Making A Power Play?
Nate and Devon didn’t dismiss out of hand Jill’s role in the company and offer to speak to Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) for Billy. Billy then thanked them for their time and left, and they decided since Jill had never mentioned this Billy was making a power play.
Devon didn’t think this was about Jill’s legacy at all, and Nate sided with him, although he didn’t want to argue with Billy about it.
But the fact that Billy came to them with this news tells them everything they need to know-it’s all about Billy and Jill isn’t likely even part of it.
Devon decides they’ll discuss this with Billy when he returns, and makes an independent decision to set him straight and tell him there will be no changes.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Jill Abbott’s Shocking Decision
Devon tells Billy that he’s sorry but they’re keeping the name of the company Chancellor-Winters as it is, and then Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) walks in.
She interrupts, telling Devon that Jill will be very sorry to hear that, and presumably Jill walks in behind Amanda. But both Devon and Billy are shocked by the curveball that Jill delivers or perhaps relays through Amanda-so there’s more to it than meets the eye.
Jill tends to want to keep peace in the company even if it involves her own son-there’s a good possibility that she’s made a decision to change the company name entirely. Perhaps she decides to call it something with none of their names in the title!
