General Hospital Spoilers: Nina Is Horrified When Cyrus Becomes A Star!

General Hospital spoilers tease that Nina Corinthos (Cynthia Watros) has a bad habit of doing the worst thing possible for what she thinks are very good reasons.

This is especially true from the very beginnings of her relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard). As viewers may remember, Nina encountered Sonny in Nixon Falls several years back when he was presumed dead by everyone, including his wife Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

Sonny had amnesia and told Nina that he didn’t want to remember his past. So Nina decided to keep that Sonny was alive from his friends and family, all the while pursuing a romance with him.

General Hospital Spoilers – Sonny Corinthos Recently Beat Cyrus Renault!

Recently, during a rather intense encounter Sonny beat Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) to within an inch of his life. Cyrus provoked Sonny, for certain, but what he did was a very serious crime.

One that he would have likely gone to jail for if not Nina’s intervention. She visited Cyrus in his hospital room and convinced him to drop the charges against her husband… for a price.

While the details weren’t shown onscreen, Nina gave Cyrus what he asked for.

GH Spoilers – Cyrus Renault May Have A New Career!

Whatever the agreement between them, it involved a block on time with a media station. Chances are that Cyrus wants to share his religious beliefs with other, most likely via a television spot.

While those who knew Cyrus previously aren’t buying his words, he does come across as very charismatic. If he does get to spread his teaching, chances are he will gain quite a following. And that will likely horrify Nina especially.

Once, Cyrus becomes popular he will likely use his platform to turn the public against Sonny. Sonny is known as a “coffee Importer” but as viewers know, Sonny is a career criminal.

If Cyrus can turn public opinion against Sonny he will get quite a bit of satisfaction. Cyrus is jealous that Sonny is so liked and respected in Port Charles, and especially by Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and he is quite jealous.

Cyrus would very much like for Sonny to lose favor with the public at large. And ultimately, this would be Nina’s fault.
