General Hospital Spoilers: Steve Burton Teases Daytime Return, Jason Was The Island Shooter?!

General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that it’s good to be a GH fan right now. The OG Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is coming back home to Port Charles, New York, and February Sweeps kicked off with a blitzkrieg of explosive action.

The huge news of Steve Burton’s return was revealed last month, and hours ago on his podcast “Daily Drama” he spilled some juicy tidbits about his comeback.

Burton told his co-host Bradford Anderson (Damian Spinelli): “I don’t have an exact start date, but I start next week on the show.” He joked “Listen, we’re just gonna roll in on the motorcycle and you’re gonna be in the side car.” Yuk-yuk.

Anderson posted some pics on the Instagram page for the “Daily Drama” podcast showing on set and studio standing in front of a new picture of Steve Burton. He wrote “Was excited to see Steve’s picture back up in the hallway of GH.”

Somehow, some way, Jason is making his way back from the dead to surprise and delight his loved ones. And it comes not a moment too soon. His bestie Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) were just shot at on his private Puerto Rican island were they went to hide out from danger.

Sonny told his puzzled second in command, and Jason wannabe, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) that an inconvenient truth is afoot—the shooter knows all the details of Sonny’s MO, thus explaining how he or she was able to be at the right place at the right time.

In other words, the perp knew the how and when to shoot, then take off. That’s why Sonny thinks the shooter is familiar with his island and security. Which has some fans wondering if it was Jason doing the shooting—albeit a brainwashed or amnesiac Jason.

The superb ability of the shooter to take aim at his target, catch him off guard, and then escape without a trace are mad skills of the type possessed by Stone Cold. This is a wild speculation, but hey, GH has never shied away from outlandish plots like The Ice Princess and Casey the Alien.
