Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers note it’s been a hot minute since Gabi Hernandez has been in the land of Salem. Currently, she’s in prison for the murder of Li Shin (Remington Hoffman); however, both fans and her love interest, Stefan DiMera (Brandon Barash), know she’s innocent.
Actress Camila Banus announced she was exiting the soap in the spring of 2023. Her final scenes on Days were in early November 2023, and now news has hit that she’ll be appearing in a new film.
DOOL Spoilers: More On Camila Banus’s New Film
Days spoilers reveal that while fans have heard about Gabi’s perils in prison, she has yet to re-appear onscreen. Her portrayer, Camila Banus, recently announced a starring role in the film entitled, Final Heist.
The movie is set to premiere this Friday, February 9 on Tubi. Of course, Camila hopped on social media to share the trailer with DOOL audiences.
In her Instagram post, Banus writes, “Super proud of this!! Had a great time playing Willa. I got into acting to play, play pretend. I got to play so much in this project, it was a dream come true for me. My co-stars were absolutely incredible to play alongside. The crew, amazing.“
Final Heist is about a mom who is faced with the threat of her daughter dying. She seeks assistance from an ex-criminal associate to retrieve tissue from her husband via a high-security official.
Days Spoilers: Could Camila Banus Return As Gabi Hernandez?
There’s been no official word on whether or not Gabi Hernandez will return to storylines anytime soon. There has been a buzz that actress Cherie Jimenez, who’s also gone by Cherie Daly in past roles, could be recast in the role, but nothing has been confirmed by the soap.
As Days films months ahead of broadcast, it still is possible that Camila could reprise the character; however, it is hard to say at this point.
One thing is certain, Gabi will re-emerge on the canvas at some point. Her storyline around Li’s murder has left fans hanging, and with Stefan still crazy about his wife, despite his recent drunken one-night stand with Ava Vitali (Tamara Braun), it’s only a matter of time before Gabi comes storming back to Salem.
