Sure, she lured the Newmans to the lake house, tortured and poisoned them, and *almost* left them to die, but at the end of the day, she was a big reason why they survived.

With the way soap operas are, she is likely the long-lost daughter of Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) and Cole Howard (J. Eddie Peck) whom the twosome thought had died. If she is a Newman, considering her circumstances, Vic, Cole, and the rest of the fam jam may give her a chance to redeem herself.

Meanwhile, Vic was quite adamant at the lake house that Claire couldn’t be her daughter, as she saw the baby breathe her last breath. Still, while Aunt Jordan (Colleen Zenk) is a delusional liar, there may be some truth to her story about stealing the baby. Howard had died, while Vic stood firm in the fact that Claire was in no way her daughter. She even looked her in the eyes and couldn’t accept the fact.

If it turns out Ms. Grace is her child, it’ll be hard for Claire to form a connection or bond with the woman who refused to believe that she “may” be Eve Nicole, after all. Plus, Vic can be quite the ice queen when she wants to be, and it may be hard for both ladies to bring their walls down.
