General Hospital Spoilers: Adam Wright Is On Prescription Medication For ADHD
Adam is on prescription medication for ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, which could make it difficult for him to learn and especially, to pay attention.
People with ADHD have a difficult time focusing on tasks, and keeping their minds on a thing from start to finish, kind of bouncing off the wall like a super ball!
Since Josslyn is in pre-med, if they find Adam’s prescription bottle she should have an idea what the medication is for and it will answer a lot of questions.
But Adam also displays many symptoms of an anxiety disorder, and his parents demanding absolute perfection in his grades if they know he’s ADHD is cruel.
Adam was so afraid of his father’s disapproval that he recently lied and told him he had to take a makeup test after taking Josslyn to the hospital!
GH Spoilers: Trina Robinson May Have A Different Take
After being close to Marshall Ashford’s (Robert Gossett) situation and now that she knows he’s her grandfather Trina may have a different take.
Adam’s symptoms seem much more like an anxiety disorder than attention deficit hyperactivity disorder and she may wonder about a misdiagnosis.
Marshall made bad life decisions that affected his family badly, especially Stella Henry (Vernee Watson) who left a fiancé behind and Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) who grew up without dad.
Josslyn knows Adam, who has been her study partner, much better than Trina does but it’s plain that both young women are concerned about their classmate.
They’ll want to do everything that they can to support him, but how will he react to them knowing about his medication?
General Hospital Spoilers: Adam Wright Swears The Girls To Secrecy
When Trina and Josslyn get with Adam privately to return his pill bottle, he swears them to secrecy, because if anyone knew it would be great embarrassment to his parents.
Trina and Joss can’t believe what they’re hearing, and ask if his parents understand his diagnosis-turns out they know nothing about it, Adam having sought medical help on his own.
He’s been going to a free psychiatric clinic in Port Charles-Josslyn knows of it, Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) volunteers there as well as his GH duties and at Ferncliff and Shadybrook.
Josslyn lived with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) as her stepfather for a lot of her life and empathizes with needing medication to stay sane-and Morgan Corinthos (Bryan Craig) as well.
They let Adam know they understand and he has their full support and help-and privately think his parents are cruel.
