The Young and The Restless spoilers and updates tease Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) will confront Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) and Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow). The big question is, will they pass their father’s test?
The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Adam Newman Organizes The Meeting
The meeting at the Genoa City Athletic Club is one Adam has organized, inviting Victor and Nick-and the plan is to prove Victor is incompetent.
Adam has been the Newman child most worried about Victor’s state of mind and his strange behavior, and his goal is to force him into getting help.
He’s already retained a psychiatrist to sit in, observe, and take notes; he has no idea Nick already knows Victor has been faking his mental state and playing them.
Victor continues to fake it by praising his sons for working well together at the new company, formed by the merger of Kirsten Incorporated and McCall Unlimited.
But just as Adam is about to remind Victor the merger never happened, Nick interrupts-and says Adam set a trap for Victor to be diagnosed by a shrink!
Y & R Spoilers: Victor Newman, Angered, Demands Answers
Victor, angered, demands answers, and Adam has no idea that Victor and Nick are now working together against him-his purpose was to get their father much-needed help, not force a resignation.
Adam is furious at Nick because now Adam looks like the bad guy, and it’s spun to Victor that Adam is staging a coup. But all Victor and Nick can see is Adam’s taking advantage of Victor doing erratic things and making strange decisions-and Victor rips him to shreds.
And it’s embarrassing for Adam to have this happen right in front of the psychiatrist he hired himself to get his father some help, because Adam believed Victor had dementia.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers: Victoria Newman Arrives Also Concerned About Victor Newman’s Health
Even though it may have indeed been Adam’s natural instinct to swoop in and take advantage, this time it wasn’t his motivation-in spite of all the dysfunction he loves his father.
Just as Victor is getting ready to storm out and leave the meeting, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) shows up and she’s also worried about her father’s mental state.
Victor then reacts by demanding that everyone-sans the psychiatrist-come to his office-stat, and Nate Hastings (Sean Dominic) and Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) are also summoned.
Once everyone arrives, Victor makes an announcement; there’s a traitor in the room and this has been the test to prove once and for all who the traitor is! The psychiatrist could actually come up with a different diagnosis of Victor-extreme megalomania!
