Nikki gives Claire all the time she needs when she says she has to go to Oregon to find a caretaker for her great aunt “Jordan” who’s fallen and broken her leg.
In the meantime, Nikki had planned a trip to Denver to see her sister, Casey Reed (Roberta Leighton) who she hadn’t seen in years. But Nikki, who had come to trust Claire implicitly as she had worked hard to be the perfect assistant, has no idea what’s ahead.
Claire claims that Jordan is a huge fan of Nikki’s and wanted to thank her in person for giving Claire her job. She’d actually been planning to come to Genoa City but then broke her leg-would Nikki consider coming to her house in Oregon?
Y & R Spoilers: Who Was Veronica Landers?
Veronica Landers, the unstable wife of Dr. Joshua Landers (Heath Kizzier, was presumed dead when a body was found at the bottom of a lake along with her wedding ring.
However, Veronica turned up alive in Genoa City Memorial Hospital having undergone extensive facial reconstruction after a car accident that left her hideously disfigured.
After tracking Joshua down and phoning him, she was shocked Joshua’s new wife Nikki Newman – answered the phone.
She was determined to recover and reconcile with her husband, and Veronica came up with a plan. Disguised as a quiet, shy woman named Sarah Lindsey, Veronica came to work as Nikki and Josh’s new maid; she spied on Joshua and Nikki for months.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers: It’s Obvious Claire Grace Wants Revenge
It’s obvious now Claire wants revenge, and Veronica was insane-she killed Joshua and then plotted to kill Nikki. While it’s not known if Veronica ever had children, Claire would be around the right age, Veronica and Joshua died in 1998.
Veronica met her death in the Newman stables, impaled by a baling hook after she became involved with Miguel Rodriguez (Arthur Pena) the Newmans’ valued employee.
It sounds like Claire is as crazy as Veronica was, although Veronica used a gun, not a syringe, to kill Joshua and attack Nikki. It’s possible that Claire did have a great aunt Jordan, but she’s definitely not living in the house in Oregon that Claire lures Nikki to!
