Victor has wanted to find a way to get Tucker McCall (Trevor St. John) to sell him his company McCall Unlimited. Victor wants to buy McCall Unlimited to give to his son Adam Newman (Mark Grossman). Victor hopes that he will be able to get repair his relationship with Adam by giving him McCall Unlimited. Victor had hoped to be able to his daughter Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle) to help him with the acquisition. Victoria had wanted to make McCall Unlimited part of her family’s company Newman Enterprises. Victoria did not want to give control of McCall Unlimited to Adam. Victor is upset that Victoria has decided that she does not want to buy McCall Unlimited. Victor knows that Tucker has wanted to get Devon to buy McCall Unlimited from him. Devon had considered buying McCall Unlimited because he was having trouble with his company Chancellor-Winters. Devon had been working with his sister Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) at Chancellor-Winters. Devon had been concerned about Chancellor-Winters going public with an IPO.
Devon has wanted to protect Chancellor-Winters because part of the company is Hamilton-Winters. Devon had built Hamilton-Winters with his late father Neil Winters (Kristoff St. John). Devon did not want strangers to be able to have shares in the company that he built with Neil. Lily and Jill Abbott (Jess Walton) had been determined to launch the IPO even though Devon had his reservations about taking Chancellor-Winters public. Victor knew about the problems that Devon was having with Lily and Jill. Victor had wanted to help to preserve Devon and Lily’s relationship. Victor was able to convince Jill to kill the IPO in order to help Devon and Lily to continue to run Chancellor-Winters together. Victor will find out that Devon wants to continue to work with Lily at Chancellor-Winters. Victor may believe that he can convince Devon to reject Tucker’s offer to buy McCall Unlimited because Devon is not leaving Chancellor-Winters.

Victor knows that Devon has gotten into a relationship with his daughter Abby Newman (Melissa Ordway). Victor knows that Devon and Abby share a son Dominic Newman-Abbott-Winters-Chancellor (River & Rainn Ware). Victor needs to know about Devon’s intentions for Abby. Victor may find out that Devon and Abby have decided to live together. Victor knows that Abby cares about Devon. Abby and Victor knew that Devon had been struggling to deal with his feelings for Neil because of he was trying to hold onto Hamilton-Winters. Victor and Abby decide that they would dedicate a nightclub to honor Neil because Neil and Devon love music. Devon was touched by Victor and Abby’s grand gesture. Devon has been able to get past his fears of working with Lily because Abby and Victor have helped him. Devon wants to be able to show Victor that he wants to make Abby and Dominic happy. Victor will be relieved to find out that Devon had good intentions toward Abby and Dominic.
