The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) told Devon Hamilton (Bryton James) he was glad a peaceful resolution with Lily Winters (Christel Khalil) happened. Devon told his late grandmother’s longtime friend he recognized how that benefits the Moustache.

Victor admitted he was pleased that Devon’s choice to remain with Chancellor-Winters also means he will not accept his biological father’s offer to buy McCall Unlimited. That leaves Tucker McCall’s (Trevor St. John) company on the market with only one known suitor, Jill Abbott (Jess Walton).

Tucker has repeatedly told Devon that he wants to pass on his legacy to Devon. James’ character has vacillated on the offer.

Devon was opposed to the deal, then began to reconsider it before finally giving Tucker a hard no. That upset Trevor St. John’s character because he envisioned creating a legacy. Plus, Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) directive, as his debt holder, was to sell to Devon.

Ashley linked a potential reconciliation with Tucker with the sale of McCall Unlimited to Devon. But Devon just said no. That jeopardizes Tucker’s hopes to reconcile with Ashley.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Victor Newman Sits Patiently

Tucker is not inclined to accept whatever offer Victor may make but might have to do so unless he agrees to whatever Jill offers. She is looking at the company as an investment. Victor wants to buy it as a gift for Adam Newman (Mark Grossman).

Victor’s business rarely runs smoothly but has been doing relatively well under Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) leadership. Braeden’s character reminded his firstborn child that she only holds the Chief Executive Officer title because he allowed her to have it.

The Moustache planned the New Winters’ (Kristoff St. John) jazz lounge dedication to purposely influence Devon’s emotions. It worked, and Tucker felt the sting.

Victoria Newman Promotes Her Agenda

Victoria is heavily influenced by the man Leanna Love (Barbara Crampton) infamously dubbed Ruthless in her tell-all book. Victor is a cold-hearted, calculating businessman.

Heinle’s character learned at the foot of the master. Victor’s scheming ways and triangulations earned him quite the reputation and plenty of power. He has a lot more than Tucker at this stage of the game.

Victoria nixed Newman Enterprises buying McCall Unlimited and told her father he should use his personal assets to do so. Victor could not disagree with his daughter’s reasoning and might need to open his wallet as a means of helping, as he calls it, Adam Y&R.
