Jodie Sweetin Stars In New Hallmark Mystery
Hallmark spoilers, news, and updates tease that Jodie Sweetin stars in a new Hallmark Mystery. The actress shared that she just finished filming the movie.
The actress took to Instagram to update her fans about her upcoming movie. During her 25-minute live chat with her fans, the actress explained that she’s been inactive on social media because she was filming a movie in Toronto.
“There is no Christmas in this one. It’s a Hallmark Mystery movie. The Jane De Silva mystery is going to be coming this spring. So, I’ll keep you guys all posted on that,” the actress said.
Hallmark already revealed the movies lined up for April’s Spring Into Love, fans can expect Sweetin’s new movie around May or June.
The upcoming film is based on K.K. Beck’s comedic mystery novels from the 1990s, with the titles A Hopeless Case, Amateur Night, Electric City, and Cold Smoked. Sweetin mentioned that it’ll be a Jane De Silva movie but she didn’t specify which book it’s based on.
According to Amazon, K.K. Beck, or Kathrine K. Beck, wrote 17 crime novels, and one non-fiction book, Opal: A Life Of Enchantment, Mystery, and Madness. Details are still under wraps for now but Sweetin promised to keep her followers updated.
Hallmark Spoilers – Sweetin’s ADHD And Anxiety Struggles
The actress has been open about dealing with ADHD and anxiety. During her Instagram live, the actress said that she was doing her best to focus on the script and the role.
“When I’m working, my days are insane. I don’t even have my phone on me. I try to just kinda focus, which is really hard for me!” she shared.
Hallmark Updates – Changes At Hallmark
Fans have been wondering if the network will continue to make mystery movies after all the changes that have happened over the years. Fans may recall that CEO Bill Abbott left Hallmark in 2020 and launched Great American Family.
Some actors left Hallmark, including Cameron Bure and Danica McKellar. The latter eventually announced that the Matchmaker Mysteries has been canceled while Bure appeared in the last Aurora Teagarden Mysteries in February 2022.
Even Jesse Metcalfe expressed his dismay and disappointment in his assumption that his Martha’s Vineyard Mysteries would be canceled.
But with CEO Wonya Lucas and Programming Vice President Lisa Hamilton Daly taking the reins, things seem to be looking much better for the network. They have been working tirelessly to update and revitalize Hallmark Movies & Mysteries.
