Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Chad DiMera (Billy Flynn) has been struggling ever since he discovered that his wife, Abigail DiMera (Marci Miller) had been fatally stabbed last summer. Abigail managed to hand on long enough to say goodbye to her husband and although Chad was happy he got those last moments, he was consumed with grief. Chad spent the next several weeks searching for his wife’s killer and his persistence paid off once Clyde Weston (James Read) was revealed as the killer. But that didn’t make it any easier for Chad to live without his beloved wife.

Around the time that Clyde was arrested, Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) returned to Salem. Almost from the moment they reconnected, Chad and Stephanie seemed to form a bond. Chad even went to work with Stephanie at her public relations firm to help work on Paulina Price’s (Jackee Harry) campaign for governor. And although Chad was attracted to Stephanie, he simply wasn’t ready to move on. Because of that, Stephanie began dating Alex Kiriakis (Robert Scott Wilson).

Days Of Our Lives Updates – Chad DiMera Was A Jealous Man!

Despite the fact that he wasn’t ready to love anyone else, Chad became jealous of Stephanie and Alex’s closeness. When Alex and Stephanie broke up, Chad finally admitted he wanted Stephanie. The two of them made love and both were terribly happy. But even though Chad definitely wanted Stephanie, he’s still having a hard time saying goodbye to Abigail.

Abe Carver Will Offer Some Advice!

Chad will soon seek advice from an old friend who knows exactly what he is going through. Abe Carver (James Reynolds) was married to Chad’s older sister Lexie Carver (Renee Jones) for many years until she, unfortunately, passed away. Look for Chad to ask Abe how he managed to find happiness again with Paulina after Lexie’s death. Abe will likely say that Chad can’t close himself off, he’s got to be open to possibilities once the time is right. There is no right or wrong way to mourn but Chad will have to be truly ready or it won’t work.
