Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers reveal that Sarah Horton will be out of Salem for quite some time as actress Linsey Godfrey has officially exited the role. Fans knew something was up when she left town with Rex Brady (Kyle Lowder) to take a job in Chicago. Now according to Soap Opera Digest (SOD), Godfrey and Horton are officially gone from Salem. For now, that is.

Sarah’s in Chicago with Rex, so fans should have seen this coming, but characters come and go from the little town on a daily basis, so it’s hard to say. There was initially some drama over her divorce from Xander Kiriakis (Paul Telfer); however, all the papers ended up being processed rather quickly while Ms. Horton was off-screen, despite the initial discrepancy. This should have been a red flag for viewers.

With that said, Sarah is pregnant, with Xander’s baby no less, and Kiriakis is none the wiser. While he still pines over Ms. Horton, there’s always a chance he could go back to Gwen Rizczech (Emily O’Brien), and if he does, Sarah returning with a baby bump (or baby) could be a plot twist and yet another obstacle for the Xwen relationship.

A Sarah Horton return seems inevitable at some point. Especially with her pregnancy storyline hanging in the balance. Still, it’s unlikely that this will happen anytime soon. Linsey Godfrey entered the role of Sarah Horton on DOOL in October 2018. Ms. Horton was kidnapped and sent away in a trunk by Kristen DiMera (Stacy Haiduk) in March 2021, and the actress announced her departure from the daytime drama at that point. Sarah would re-emerge on the scene in January 2022 and has been with the show since.
