Bridgerton spoilers, news, and updates tease that Phoebe Dynevor may be absent from the show’s third season, which is set to air on Netflix. Fans may not see her in the upcoming season but she hinted at a possible return in the future.
When asked by ScreenRant on the red carpet at the Sundance Film Festival, Dynevor revealed that there won’t be any exciting moments for her character Daphne Basset in season 3.
“Sadly not in season 3. Potentially in the future,” she said. “But season 3, I’m just excited to watch as a viewer,” she added.The actress may not appear on Bridgerton, but fans can catch her in the film titled Fair Play, where she stars together with Alden Ehrenreich.
Dynevor Journey In Bridgerton
Bridgerton was based on the book series of the same name and written by Julia Quinn. It topped the charts when its first season aired on Netflix. Season 1 focused on the love story of Daphne and Duke of Hastings Simon Basset, played by Regé-Jean Page. The latter didn’t return for the second season while Dynevor stepped back into a more supporting role.
What to Expect in Season 3?
In the upcoming season 3, most of the show’s cast will be returning, including Simone Ashley as Kate Bridgerton. It will focus on the romance between Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton) and Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan). Another Bridgerton sibling, Francesca, will appear in the new season.
However, the role will be played by Hanna Dodd instead of Ruby Stokes.
Additionally, Jess Brownell replaces Chris Van Dusen as the showrunner for seasons 3 and 4. Brownell made it clear that Bridgerton did well because of the moments when the entire family was together. Having said that, one may assume that Daphne, Anthony, and Kate may appear on the show in some capacity. Although, nobody really knows how long their screen time would be.
Will Regé-Jean Page Return To Bridgerton?
No official statement has been released, but based on how season 2 ended, it seems like Regé-Jean Page’s character, Simon, won’t be making any appearance in season 3. The new season has no release date yet, but the series was already renewed for a fourth season.
Not only that, but Bridgerton is also getting a spinoff, which will feature Queen Charlotte’s romance with King George.
