General Hospital (GH) spoilers for the week of January 30, 2023 reveal that a loveable aunt is back on the Port Charles, New York scene while there is stunning news to report about a Cassadine heir.
General Hospital spoilers: The week of January 30, 2023 Says Bye Bye Nikolas?
Fans of Marcus Coloma will be sad to hear that the actor has ended his run as dark prince Nikolas Cassadine. He came on board in 2019 and made the character his own, but the big question for fans is, what happens next with the errant Cassadine heir?
We can tell you that there will be a recast in the role this week as Coloma and GH allegedly mutually agreed that he would not tape Nikolas’s last scenes due to health issues.
Nikolas will still be around at the beginning of February and it’s been predicted that Adam Huss, who previously filled in when Marcus Coloma wasn’t available, is the logical choice to fill in now.
Celebrity Dirty Laundry reports that Huss likely will take over in February and replace Coloma as the prince’s storyline wraps up.
His plot is thick right now, given that he is being kicked out of his ancestral home, Wyndemere, and his son Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Chavez) wants custody of Nik’s child with Spencer’s former GF Esme Prince (Avery Kristen Pohl) who conveniently (or not) has amnesia.

Also Nikolas will push Carolyn Webber (Denise Crosby) to help Esme keep her memory at bay, but the strong arm tactics could backfire. Fans should expect Nikolas to visit Esme on February 1, so it will likely be Adam Huss at Spring Ridge. This leads to the question, will seeing Nikolas jog Esme’s memory?
In the meantime it’s worth noting that Victor Cassadine (Charles Shaughnessy) has made death threats against Nikolas so it could be that the character goes MIA or DOA.
