The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Amanda Sinclair (Mishael Morgan) feels it is best to leave Genoa City, Wisconsin. Her plans were radically adjusted because she and Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) happened upon a stunning scene inside Devon Hamilton’s (Bryton James) penthouse.

Devon and Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor (Melissa Ordway) have been friends for years. Abby and Devon can not claim to have had a successful romantic connection in the past, as their brief attempt at dating flopped.

However, for a variety of converging reasons, Abby and Devon ignited. The immediate consequence is the apparent end of Amanda’s run in Genoa City, Wisconsin, and Chance’s clarity.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Mishael Morgan Is Always Welcome

Morgan created one of the more dynamic characters, Hilary Hamilton (Morgan), on Y&R in recent years when she debuted in 2013. Five years later, after many great storylines, including falling in love with Devon and becoming pregnant with his child, she and their unborn baby died as the result of injuries suffered through Lily Ashby’s (the character’s married name at the time, played by Christel Khalil) negligent driving.

Fans were thrilled when Morgan returned to the show in 2019. A terrific teaser had Morgan on the set recording scenes where she played Hilary’s ghost. But a great head-fake also saw Morgan begin her stint as Amanda, Hilary’s unknown identical twin.

Morgan’s Daytime Emmy Award earlier this year, in the Outstanding Lead Actress category, was well-earned and historic. Her choice to drop to recurring status meant that fans have been seeing less of Amanda. Hopefully, Morgan’s second run on Y&R is not over but at least continues sporadically.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Devon Hamilton And Abby Newman Abbott Chancellor Need To Think

Amanda is teased to tell Devon to confront his feelings about Abby. Chance is already telling Abby that he recognized the bond she had with Devon.

TPTB may be in the process of a couple’s switch, with Devon and Amanda splitting and Abby and Chance heading for divorce. While both breaks would be regrettable, the idea of Abby and Devon makes sense.

Dominic Newman Abbott Winters Chancellor (Rainn and River Ware) is alive because Mariah Copeland (Camryn Grimes) made a selfless sacrifice in agreeing to be a surrogate mother. Devon volunteered to be a donor. Both people stepped up because it was not advisable for Abby to become pregnant, and Chance’s shooting injury did not allow him to father a child.

The bond that Dom created between Abby and Devon is real, and appears to have deepened.

Chance Chancellor Forced To Decide

Chance saw that Abby had a different connection with Devon. That was reasonable on various levels. But catching them together at the penthouse forces a decision point.

Abby’s instant reaction was to apologize and seeks reconciliation. Chance was angry, but he also seemed resigned. So, he will need to decide if whatever he and Abby represent is stronger than the momentum Dom’s genetic parents share on Y&R.
