The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers reveal Nick Newman becoming more and more involved with the inner workings of Newman Enterprises, something he shied away from for years.

If there’s one thing Nick Newman never wanted it was to live in his father’s shadow. That is why he did everything in his power to have some sort of career that wasn’t related to The Grea Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) and Newman Enterprises. He owned a nightclub, he started his own corporation called Dark Horse, and he even started a charity called New Hope, but somehow he’s been drawn into the NE fold again.

After being at a crossroads for months following his breakup with Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) late last year, Nick has finally found a direction in life and he may have also found a brand-new woman, Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope). In his new NE capacity, he is helping guide Sally at her job at Newman Media and has been her biggest champion with his ice queen sister, Victoria Newman (Amelia Heinle).

The Young And The Restless Updates – Nick New Newman Lease On Life Thrills Morrow

Joshua Morrow couldn’t be happier about Nick’s new direction, which is giving himself new things to play after being in this role since the 1990s.

“I absolutely love that he’s really involved with the family business again with all the intrigue, trials, and fighting that come with it,” Morrow said in the September 2, 2022, issue of Soap Opera Digest. “Those are all fun to play to me. Nick is part of the Newman fabric and I just like being in the mix. And I absolutely love working with Amelia, Mel, and Eric every day.”

Despite that, Morrow was sad to see the Ashland Locke story come to an end, especially considering that Nick dealt the final death blow.

“I just liked that the Newmans had this foil because one of the things I love, if not the most, is that when one of them is in danger, the whole family circles the wagons and does whatever they can to protect each other.”

Of course, that doesn’t necessarily apply to Adam Newman, and that may be a problem with Nick going forward. Stay tuned to The Young and the Restless weekdays to see how this story plays out.
