The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Is Nick Wrong To Be Mad? – Victor Enforces Control
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers document that Nick Newman’s (Joshua Morrow) sense of morality has often been different than his father’s. Of course, longtime Y&R devotees could argue that Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) exhibits only faint traces of a conscience.
Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) death happened because Nick punched him in the face. Ashland fell backward and hit his head on Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) fireplace. He appeared to die instantly.
The Genoa City Police Department confirmed that Ashland’s car was found in a ravine with his dead body inside. That, along with the autopsy results, confirmed that Victoria’s deranged ex-husband is gone.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Defended His Sister
Nick never intended to kill Ashland. He reacted to a threatening situation inside her home.
The aftermath of the fight, which clearly went in Nick’s favor, resulted in Ashland having no detectable pulse. Victoria also attempted to revive him for a while.
So, when the Newman siblings returned to the house, after being gone for a short period, the sight of a bare fireplace area was shocking. How could a dead man not be there?
The Young And The Restless Updates – Victor Newman’s Security Team
Victor had Victoria under surveillance. He has enforced control many times before, so it was not surprising when the Moustache revealed his team was outside her home on that fateful night.
Ashland had Victoria under surveillance as well with his minion ordered to keep tabs on her. Possibly, the assistant was around the night Ashland died and has information he will use as leverage against the Newman family.
If it was not for Victor, Nick would likely be in a legal conundrum. Chance Chancellor (Conner Floyd) does not appear to believe that Nick killed Ashland intentionally. But he does feel that Victor coordinated some after-the-fact coverup.
Chance Chancellor Works The Case
Chance brought Kevin Fisher (Greg Rikaart) into the case. He asked him to persuade the coroner to put a rush on the autopsy, and that happened.
The clues are all in the police report. Chance recognized that reality and shared it with Kevin. Together, these GCPD colleagues are likely to make progress that uncovers all is not as it appears.
Will Victor take the fall for turning Nick’s defensive actions into a criminal charge? Might Chance gather enough evidence to prove that Victor or his security team created a crime through the coverup?
This case is not open and shut. But are any matters that Victor attempts to control?
