Ever since he banished Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) from his life, Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) has been warming up to Diane Jenkins (Susan Walters), a woman who did so many horrible things to him and others that she had to fake her own death for 10 years to get her life together, abandoning her son along the way.

This week, things go further when Diane confesses to Jack that her feelings for him go deeper than friendship and he is forced to admit the same. Then, the unthinkable happens — they kiss.

Now, many fans who have seen this promo are insisting this has to be a dream because Jack would never do that — at least not yet — and Diane would definitely fantasize about such a moment. But Jack hasn’t been too bright in recent years when it comes to women, so it could be very likely this is real and Jack is about to get himself in a whole lot of trouble.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Phyllis Summers And Nikki  Newman To The Rescue

Well, maybe not if Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) and Phyllis have anything to do with it. Their singular mission in life now is to get some dirt on Diane and run her out of town, showing Jack the error of his ways once again. If his ex-wives can’t help him, then who can?

They step up their plan to get info on Diane by bringing in an investigative reporter from Los Angeles who can’t wait to dig up dirt on Taylor Jenson, the alias Diane was using as she lived another life while everyone thought she was dead. She even used that name to trick Allie Nguyen (Kelsey Wang) and bring Jack into her life, but Jack doesn’t seem to have any problems with this at the moment.

Whether Diane is sincere in her remorse remains to be seen, but it’s almost certain that Nikki and Phyllis are going to dig up something with this investigative reporter than might give Jack some pause on where he is going with his life.
