The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that Ashland Locke’s (Robert Newman) proposed gift to New Hope is generous. However, it is understandable that his audience on both sides of the screen does not believe him.

Is the Lockeness Monster personal still in play? That answer can not yet be known on Y&R.

Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) is cynical, and for good reason. He believes Ashland is using what is termed blood money to buy his way back into Victoria Newman’s (Amelia Heinle) life and is also playing off the late Rey Rosales’ (Jordi Vilasuso) reputation to do it.

The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Nick Newman Encouraged To Take The Money

Victoria told her brother that he should take every penny of Ashland’s money. She encouraged him to use the two-hundred and fifty million dollars to help those who are less fortunate in Genoa City, Wisconsin.

Nick does not want Ashland to use the non-profit organization he founded as a manipulation tool. But Victoria is assuring Morrow’s character that she will never be fooled by Ashland again.

Of course, Nick can not know if Victoria will stay away from Ashland forever or eventually return to him. But as long as the gift has no legal strings, Nick should accept it and put the money to good use.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Ashland Locke Trying To Reform?

Ashland’s instinct was to save the woman he loves. But two plot points can be true at once.

It can be true that Ashland was scheming to take over Newman Enterprises, going beyond the merger plans, while also changing his mind after the deal happened. Why else would he risk his life to save Victoria’s?

Viewers know that YR – Rey’s death and Victoria’s would have left no witnesses on that highway road that sits on the outskirts of Genoa City, Wisconsin. So, if Ashland were truly cold-blooded, he could have left Victoria to die. But he did not do that, risking his life to save hers.

Victoria Newman Is Not Done

Victoria’s physical recovery could take a while. While her injuries were not life-altering, she is using a cane while visibly struggling to walk.

Emotionally, where the Newman family often lives, Victoria remains incensed. After she stabilizes, it remains possible that Ashland will linger in her heart.

But will Ashland be tired of waiting for Victoria to revive their relationship? And what if that never happens?
