The Young and the Restless(YR) spoilers and updates tease that Victoria Newman Locke (Amelia Heinle) plans to expose her husband. She is projecting a neutral stance to her family, which suggests Victoria is hoping against the hope that Ashland Locke (Robert Newman) was set up as he claims.

Victoria’s plan is teased to involve using Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) as a scapegoat. The gist is that Adam will be tagged as the person who framed Ashland.

If Ashland is guilty, as appears to be the case, then he will know Adam is innocent. So, Ashland will be going along with a frame of Adam. But Victoria’s efforts could also result in Grossman’s character or Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) being unexpectedly exposed as having done something unknown against the Lockeness Monster.

As of now, Victoria looks weak. As Adam has been saying, she is the person who allowed this viper in the front door at Newman Enterprises.

If Victoria did not fall in love with Ashland, she would have never agreed to promote his merger plan to reality. But Victor knows that he won the bid for Cyaxares Communications, buddied up with Ashland along the way, and still agreed to allow him to sit on the Newman Media board before it was folding into the merged Newman-Locke.

If Ashland lied to her about having cancer, then his claim of love for her is probably false as well. But Newman’s character seems to have developed genuine feelings for her along the way to today.

The Young And The Restless Updates – Adam Newman Okay With Games

Adam is no longer the venomous snake he used to be. Yes, he is still too thin-skinned. But Adam is no longer attempting to strike at the entire Newman family.

Grossman’s character was nice to Victoria during her wedding, helping to hold Nick Newman (Joshua Morrow) back. Adam did not do that for dishonest reasons, either.

So, if Adam is fully aware and on board with his oldest sister’s plan, it will not be because he wants her to look bad. Like Victoria, he will hold responsibility as long as Victor allows him to have it. But he wants Ashland out of their lives and the company as well.

What Did Victor Newman Do?

It seems unimaginable that Victor has not been working against Ashland all these months. If Braeden’s character is being upfront, and he did not ever trust Ashland, then Victor has been working on some long-term ouster plan.

Possibly, Michael Baldwin’s (Christian Le Blanc) efforts in Peru have not been as detailed as everyone thinks? It is reasonable to believe that Victor either set Ashland up or exploited whatever underhanded moves his son-in-law made.
