Many of his followers did not agree when he suggested that they ignore their mental health problems. His post drew the ire of his followers and they weren’t shy in making their feelings known.

Sojaboy shared that he has a personal experience with mental health problems. He claimed that his ex-wife Lisa tried to commit suicide when he tried to leave. He said he knows how serious mental health problems are.

Despite that, viewers wanted the 31-year-old rapper to know that saying mental health problems should be ignored is the “worst advice” he could give. They wanted him to know that he shouldn’t be saying things like that, especially today when a lot of people are struggling with mental health problems.

A fan also referred to the advice as “irresponsible” while one commenter also said that ignoring mental health problems won’t make them disappear. People who struggle with it need to undergo counseling and must take medication to improve their lives.

Another Instagram user said that Umar shouldn’t talk about mental health problems because his advice is doing more harm than good. One commenter said that he’s giving “terrible advice” and added that it’s “terrible advice to give on social media.”
