Big Sky Spoilers: New Series Regular Added To Season 2
Big Sky spoilers and updates tease that another artist has been added to the cast of Big Sky. Janina Gavanker signs up as a series regular opposite the show’s returning leads Katheryn Winnick and Kylie Bunbury.
Fans may recall Gavanker from Sleepy Hollow and The Mysteries of Laura. In Big Sky, the actress takes on the role of Ren, who gets involved in a car accident with one of her employees. She’s poised to cause a lot of drama in Helen, Montana as she looks for the person who betrayed her. She’s enigmatic, a person who makes calculated moves, and someone who believes that it’s best to keep her enemies close.
Big Sky Spoilers – Janina Gvanker Joins Kylie Bunbury And Katheryn Winnick
Gavanker will join the returning series regulars including Kylie Bunbury as Cassie Dewell and Katheryn Winnick as Jenny. Anja Savcic was promoted from recurring to a series regular who will take on the role of Scarlet. Meanwhile, Jesse James Keitel was moved to a recurring role as Jerrie. Omar Metwally will return as a series regular in the second season as U.S. Marshal Mark Lindor. On the other hand, fans may not see Cheyenne Kleinsasser and Margaret Kleinsasser since their portrayers, Britt Robertson and Michelle Forbes, are not due to return in the upcoming season.
Big Sky Updates – Season 2 Production Moves To New Mexico
The second season of David E. Kelley’s series which is based on the books by C.J. Box is moving its production from Vancouver, where it filmed its first season, to Rio Rancho, NM. Elwood Reid takes the helm while Kelley executive produces the show.
Janina Gavankar Acting Credits
Gavankar appeared in Warner Bros’ The Way Back, where she worked with Ben Affleck. She recently finished filming two features. She stars on Amazon’s Invasion which features Riz Ahmed and Octavia Spencer. She’ll also appear on Eli Roth’s Borderlands for Lionsgate where she worked with Cate Blanchett, Jamie Lee Curtis, and Kevin Hart.
The actress will also star in the movie that’s based on the Hindu myth of the Rakshasa. She’s a co-writer of the film, which will be financed and produced by 108 Media. Gavankar also co-wrote, co-directed, and produced Stucco. The short film won an SXSW award last year and was one of the festival’s most-watched short films. The actress is keeping herself busy with various projects which include reprising her role in Apple TV+’s The Morning Show Season 2.
