The Young And The Restless (Y&R) Spoilers: Jordi Vilasuso Taps Into Rey Rosales’ Inner Feelings
The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers and updates tease that after an ailing Rey Rosales collapsed from being poisoned, his portrayer, Jordi Vilasuso, was determined to get the entire scene right the first time around, no matter how hard it was. After all, this was a situation that his character was never in before and Rey wanted to make sure that he got it right. Here’s what he has to say.
The Young And The Restless Spoilers – Jordi Vilasuso Taps Into Rey Rosales’ Inner Feelings
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Rey says that it’s not very often that an actor gets to do something like he did, especially when all of the actings are in the physicality. That’s why he worked so hard to make sure that the audience felt what Rey was feeling at the time, too.
He told the publication, “You want it to be believable, so you need to avoid doing too much or not enough, so I really leaned on my directors and we figured this out together. I really felt like I had a safety net with them, so if I tried one way and it didn’t really work, I felt reassured to try something else. I had the coffee table to buffer my fall so I hit that first, then went down, boom, and we got it on the first take. I was so happy about that, too.”
What’s more, Jordi says that he got a lot of support and praise from his on-screen wife, Sharon Case (Sharon Newman). He says that working with her has been great just because she is so encouraging.

He added, “It’s been wonderful to tell this story with her. She makes it so easy for me to fall into character and really feel this relationship with Sharon. She’s such a pro that there’s never any second-guessing when we work together. She’s a great scene partner and I have a lot of respect for her.”
