The Bold and the Beautiful (B&B) spoilers and updates tease that Liam Spencer (Scott Clifton) is primed to have the complexity of his life lessened. The widely teased paternity result switch should result in Liam learning that he is not the father of Steffy Forrester’s (Jacqueline MacInnes Wood) baby, as was originally thought.
So, that reality will remove a dagger from Hope Spencer’s (Annika Noelle) heart. However, the initial, deep emotional wound she suffered was actually harsher and could still prove to be fatal to Lope’s persistence.
Bold And The Beautiful Spoilers – Hope Spencer More Affected By Action Than Result
Hope rightly told Liam that his impulse choice, in seeking Steffy out after the infamous mannequin misunderstanding, was the mistake. The resulting need for a paternity test was not the genesis of Hope’s heartache.
How can Hope trust that Liam will be a better man, as he claims he will prove over time, if given a chance? Liam’s lengthy backstory includes multiple back and forths, which was most recently referred to as waffling by Vincent Walker (Joe LoCicero). Yes, Vinny is a grammarian of the year nominee.
Liam has no ground to stand on and is purely hoping (wink) that his wife rationalizes everything. Fans are wondering if she should or will?
Liam Spencer Offers Too Little Too Late
To his credit, though it’s not a decisive factor in this consideration, Liam was insistent that he had to come clean to Hope before a paternity test was taken. That happened, which at least allowed for the first step in his proclaimed betterment plan to happen.
There is no doubt that the pain Liam has seen Hope endure these past weeks has profoundly impacted him in a way that seems different than before. However, his realization only resulted after he once again broke Hope’s trust.
There has to be some consequence, beyond repeated cooling-off periods, where Hope tells Liam something more than he’s been forgiven. But she’s put herself in the position of allowing Liam to be permanently woven into her life through the birth of Beth Spencer (Madeline Valdez and River Davidson) and the parenting they are jointly offering to Douglas Forrester (Henry Samiri).
Bold And The Beautiful Updates – Family Matters Override Personal Choice?
Hope is flat out a better person than Liam. So, it’s possible that she can convince herself to continue Lope in order to benefit the children.
But Liam recognizes that the actions he’s taken represent a pattern. Hope has a good reason to walk away from Lope, leaving Liam with only himself to truly blame.
