Kate Hudson’s SECRET To Being Healthy And Fit While Enjoying Wine And Ice Cream

Kate Hudson

Celebrity moms typically take pride in sharing their clean eating diets. Take Kourtney Kardashian, for example, known for her gluten-free, dairy-free food plan that even her kids follow.

In delicious defiance, actress Kate Hudson recently revealed her own way of eating. We have four words for you to sum up Kate’s break from celeb mom tradition: “Wine and ice cream.” (Okay, make that five words: “Yum!”)

How Kate Hudson Stays Slim Enjoying Wine and Ice Cream

It’s not just what Kate eats that makes her so different from other celeb moms. This actress also has no hesitation in revealing her love for food, even contending that eating what you enjoy is part of being healthy.

“I’ve always felt that wellness is about your quality of life,” explained Hudson. “You need to know what makes you feel good. It’s about doing the things you love, eating the things you want to.”

Kate follows Weight Watchers, which features a point system allowing the mom of three to treat herself to her favorite foods. She’s figured out a way to eat mostly zero-point foods, such as “chicken and leafy greens,” during the day.

“Then I can indulge,” emphasized Hudson. “Then I have wine and ice cream.”

Kate Hudson Also Balances Her Life With Exercise

Kate’s exercise plan also is a refreshing contrast to many celebrity moms. While we’re impressed by famous parents like Khloe and Kim Kardashian, who exercise to boot camp level twice a day, most of us regular folks don’t have the time or money for that level of fitness.

In contrast, Hudson contends that staying well means enjoying exercise rather than “feeling like you need to [push yourself] for two hours in a hot room. You can just take a nice walk and still be healthy.”

In addition to going for a walk, Kate likes to hop on her bike and ride. She occasionally takes a fitness class but avoids the “gotta work out daily at the gym” rules that other celebrities seem to follow.

It seems only fitting that in addition to acting, Hudson has become a fashion desire of sports leisurewear, Fabletics, as well as a craft vodka brand, King St. Vodka. She recently entered the supplement field with holistic plant-based powders, InBloom.

Kate also was recently nominated for a Golden Globe award. And whether she’s acting, designing, dieting, or exercising, Hudson follows one simple principle: “I wanted to make something that…I feel really good about putting out there.”

We’ll drink to that (with a side of ice cream, of course!).
