Meghan Markle Leaves First Work Event And Rushes Home To Baby Archie

According to the Daily Mail, this was the Duchess of Sussex’s first post-maternity royal engagement. She and her husband Prince Harry welcomed their adorable son Archie Harrison back in May. Even though there was a lot of speculation that Meghan would stay on maternity leave for at least six months, she decided that now was the best time to get back to work.

The Duchess says that her Smart Works collection is all about women supporting other women. It’s also been designed to help unemployed women feel good about themselves while they look for a job and chase their dreams. Instead of simply donating unused clothes in your closet, Meghan says that women should consider donating an item of clothing that is very meaningful for them. For example, a blazer that helped them score their first important job interview or any other favorite piece that is sentimental to them. This way they can help empower other women by passing down their success story and being a part of another woman’s, too.

And while the Duchess of Sussex has certainly gotten great reviews for her collection, she’s got another important job to do at home, too. After her speech, Meghan told the crowd that she had to rush back home to Frogmore cottage because it was “feeding time” for Baby Archie. You just have to love a working woman who is not only a royal, but also a breastfeeding advocate, too. Way to go, Meghan!
